WAYS WE HELP Imprint is committed to helping organizations improve childhood literacy rates and fight childhood hunger.
Imprints book drive was held between November 24, 2016 through December 31, 2016 to improve childhood literacy rates. During that time we collected more than 1500 books thanks to our partner Barnes and Noble. These books will be donated to Partnership for Families, Reach Out and Read and Newbridge Learning center. Reach Out and Read is a nonprofit organization that gives young children a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together. Our book drive supports the reading initiatives of Reach Out and Read through pediatric literacy. The Partnership for Families is an umbrella organization of over two dozen established non-profits working together to help Richmond parents and caregivers, from all walks of life, flourish, to better prepare their children for success in kindergarten, and beyond.
Backpacks of Love’s (BPOL) mission is to eliminate hunger in school-age boys and girls in Central Virginia by providing food for their weekends. The organization started with a small pilot project, serving 11 children in the fall of 2011 in Powhatan, VA. Imprint serves as strategic location to help BPOL stores, pack and deliver food to the designated school. Imprint held it's first annual golf tournament in 2016 on behalf of BPOL.
The New Bridge Learning Center is an elementary intervention program located in Henrico, VA. The program offers children who are behaviorally or academically challenged an opportunity to interact in a smaller, non-traditional setting before transitioning back to the school in their district. Imprint has donated books, children's clothing, sports equipment and volunteered for New Bridge's 2016 Back to School Night.
The Patriot Pack rides for worthy causes cross country from Scotts Dale, Arizona to Washington, DC. Cobb host the riders as they make their way through Virginia, greeting the Pack with a huge welcome from our entire corporate office accompanied by food and refreshments. Cobb made $1000 contributions to the Patriot Pack causes in 2015 and 2016.
The Jillian Fund is dedicated to uniting families in need during their most critical times and providing academic financial support to young women who demonstrate Jillian Gorman's legacy of living by example and conquering fear with faith. In 2016 Cobb made a $1000 contribution to the Jillian Fund.
